We are excited to announce that, as of October 10, 2024, Plastixs has been acquired by Globeius, a leading distributor and manufacturer in the plastics industry, based in Miami, Florida. Plastixs, LLC will now operate as Plastixs, a DBA of Globeius, Inc.
We are also pleased to share that Mickey Blyskal, founder of Plastixs, will stay on as General Manager, ensuring leadership continuity. All Plastixs employees have successfully transitioned to the new company and the Plastixs team will continue to maintain full control over daily operations. This transition will be seamless, with no disruptions or major changes. We will continue to focus on delivering innovative products, engineered solutions, and exceptional customer service.
“As the founder and owner of Plastixs for the last 25 years, this transition marks a pivotal moment for the future and growth of Plastixs,” said Blyskal. “Globeius is a family-owned business whose mission aligns closely with ours – offering great products for a wide range of applications while delivering a personal and professional customer experience.”
Blyskal added, “We are confident that this partnership will create exciting opportunities and synergies that will benefit both our customers and suppliers. Both companies bring unique strengths and product lines, serving a broad customer base across the United States, Canada, Mexico, and South America. I look forward to leading Plastixs into a new phase of growth through the combined expertise and strengths of both companies.”
“This acquisition marks a significant milestone in the growth of Globeius,” said Ernie Sosa, President of Globeius. “It will broaden our product offerings and enhance our position in the plastics industry, and we are confident that this acquisition will create exciting prospects and possibilities within the group.”
Since its founding, Globeius has developed an expertise in the import-export of products, positioning Plastixs growth beyond the US market, particularly in Latin America – a region where Plastixs has not traditionally been active. Likewise, Plastixs has served the US and Canadian markets for 25 years, and their strength and sales reach in this region will strongly benefit Globeius.
“While Globeius and Plastixs offer some common products, both companies bring special products and expertise that complement one another,” said Sosa. From the Globeius side some important products are GT Cranes, Mold Racks, and Crizaf Conveyors. From the Plastixs side, important products include:
- Specialized manifold assemblies, hoses, hose assemblies, and fittings for handling high-temperature water (250°F – 450°F) and oil (250°F – 550°F) used in the molding of many high-performance engineered resins
- A patented LinkedXValve water manifold accessory that is popular with processors running large numbers of water circuits on their molds
- High performance material handling hose that exceeds the temperature range and abrasion resistance currently used by most processors
“We have extensive application experience across our entire product range, many of which we’ve been offering for more than 20 years,” added Blyskal. “I am excited to lead Plastixs into a new era of growth, harnessing the combined strengths of both companies.”
